Look up ordering provider in Cerner or Epic

Go to
http://amcomwb1.utmb.edu/smartweb/

Select
“Directory Search”

Key in the provider’s last name in the “Person Name” field and click
the Search button. Example :, Patel

Write down the department name in the “department” field for the
ordering provider.
Example:
Community Based Clinics Close this box.

Select “On-Call search”
-
Type in the first few letters of the name of the On-Call Group and
press enter
Example: Com.

Select the correct group (COMMUNITY BASED CLINICS).
You may have to expand groups by clicking the “+”
Example:
Select the specific group (TEXAS
CITY / FRIENDSWOOD FAMILY ADULT)
and click on the 1st
call provider

Go to the correct day on the pop-up calendar and click on the name
to page the provider. (When an on-call assignment is actively on call it is highlighted in
green).

If no answer, page the
2nd call provider
-
If you are unable to figure out who
to call, call the page operator at 24004.
