Collection: Random urine or fecal specimen Storage Instructions: If not brought to the lab promptly, refrigerate specimen at 2-8°C. Causes for rejection: See special instructions. Availability: Samples are received 24 hours per day at Sample Management, 5.136 McCullough. Turnaround Time: Routine: 24 hours; STAT: 1 hour Special Instructions: The test can be ordered only once per inpatient admission or once per month for outpatients.
