Collection: 24-hour Urine - Discard early morning specimen; start timing from this point. Collect all urine for the next 24 hours, including sample voided at the same time the next morning. Note the time of the last collection on the request form.

Storage Instructions: 2-8°C during collection and until delivered to the laboratory

Causes for Rejection: Urine collected in preservative

Availability: Samples are received 24 hrs per day at Sample Management, Room 5.136 McCullough.

Turnaround Time: 24-48 hours

Special Instructions: Include collection start and finish times on the request slip.
