Lab: Clinical Chemistry

Request Form: Routine Chemistry Form 1. Write test on form.

Collection: Complete first morning void or random sample (no preservative).

Storage Instructions: Should be brought to the lab immediately after voiding.

Causes for Rejection: Sample collected with preservative.

Availability: Samples are received 24 hours per day at Sample Management, Room 5.136 McCullough.

Turnaround Time: 2 Hours

Special Instructions: Should be brought to the lab immediately after voiding. Do not use perservative.

Volume: Complete morning or random sample.

Minimum Volume: 1 mL urine

Container: Plain tube or plastic cup with tight-fitting lid
