Collection: Routine collection by physician

Storage Instructions: For best results, deliver promptly to lab. 

Cause For Rejection: QNS, clotted, old specimen, identification error

Availability: Samples are accepted 24 hours per day at Sample Management, 5.136 McCullough.

Turnaround Time: STAT: 1 hour; Routine: 4 hours [NOTE: Fluids must be received within one hour of collection for STAT processing.]

Special Instructions: Collect in EDTA (Lavender top tube)

Specimen: Pleural, peritoneal, pericardial, CSF

Volume: 1 ml
