Causes for Rejection: Insufficient quantity, culturette, leaking container, formed stool, stool in preservatives.

Availability: Samples are accepted 24 hours per day at the Microbiology Processing Laboratory, Room 5.137 McCullough.

Turnaround Time: 1 day; test performed once per day, Sunday through Saturday

Specimen: liquid stool or feces

Minimum Volume: 1 ml or 1 gram

Container: Clean, leak-proof container

Test Method:  Loop-mediated isothermal amplification
