Collection: Needle biopsy, fine needle aspiration, surgical excision. Storage Instructions: Tissue is placed in tissue transport medium composed of Culture Medium 199 and fetal calf serum which is available in the Immunohistochemistry Laboratory, extension 28051. Specimen should be labeled with patients name, unit history number and specimen identification and be delivered immediately to the Surgical Pathology Laboratory, John Sealy Annex, Room 2.186. Short term storage 4°C if necessary. DO NOT FREEZE. Causes for Rejection: Improper fixation, sample not noted appropriately, improper labeling, incomplete form, contaminated container. Availability: Contact the Renal Pathologist on-call. Deliver to Surgical Pathology Laboratory, Room 2.186, John Sealy Annex, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM. Also available after hours, on weekends and holidays by renal pathologist on call. Turnaround Time: 3 working days Special Instructions:
