David Beasley has been a postdoctoral fellow in Dr Barrett's laboratory since late 1999, working primarily on projects investigating the molecular basis of virulence of West Nile virus strains, the structure and function of flavivirus envelope proteins, and the identification and evaluation of antiviral agents against tick- and mosquito-borne flaviviruses. He is also responsible for instruction and supervision of graduate students, summer scholars, technicians and other visiting scientists.
