120th graduating class For immediate release: April 19, 2007 GALVESTON, Texas - The School of Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston will hold its 120th commencement at 3 p.m. Friday, April 20. Some 230 nursing students will receive their diplomas at the ceremony at Moody Gardens. In conjunction with commencement, nursing students will participate in the traditional "pinning" ceremony at which each receives a school pin. Selected graduates will be inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, Alpha Delta Chapter. Inductees are exemplary nurses who are identified as current or future nursing leaders. Karen Hand, assistant professor of nursing, will give the baccalaureate address. Christine A. Boodley, interim master's program director, will deliver the master's address.
