For immediate release: June 4, 2007 GALVESTON, Texas - Dr. Shwu-Fang (Sue) Lin has joined the faculty of Children's Hospital at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She works in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics. Lin will see patients in the Galveston and Clear Lake pediatric clinics, as well as provide in-patient and dialysis services. She is multilingual and fluent in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin, Taiwanese and Hakka) and English. "We are very pleased to have Dr. Lin join UTMB Children's Hospital as a member of our medical staff," said Dr. Christine Turley, vice chairwoman for clinical services in the Department of Pediatrics. "She is energetic and enthusiastic, and we are sure that our patients and their families will be delighted with her care." Lin comes to UTMB from the Department of Pediatrics at East Tennessee State University. She received her medical degree from the National University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, completed her internship at the Magdalena V. Martinez Hospital in Buenos Aires, and pursued her pediatric internship and residency at Jersey City Medical Center (Mount Sinai School of Medicine). Lin received fellowship training in pediatric nephrology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and the University of California in Los Angeles.
