Galveston County Daily News (Internet / Print) 05/17/06 http://news.galvestondailynews.com/story.lasso?ewcd=0752b86c1492b60a The University of Texas Medical Branch made a good choice in deciding to put the historic Runge House on the market. The medical branch could have used the house as an office building. Instead, it’s going to sell the house at 1301 Market St., which once was the residence of its president. The house should generate a nice sum. The minimum acceptable bid is a cool $925,000. This is good news on several fronts. It will also be good news for indigent patients. Some money will go toward their pharmaceutical bills. All around, there’s a lot to like.
