The nation needs you to roll up a sleeve

Dr. Alexander Indrikovs, director of the UTMB Health Blood Bank, writes that severe winter weather throughout much of the eastern half of the United States has resulted in the cancellation of more than 14,000 blood and platelet donations. “Today, we are pleading for O-negative blood donors. Our inventory at UTMB Health has been at the shortage to critical levels for the last two to three weeks.”
