UTMB in Galveston opens PET center

Houston Chronicle (Internet / Print) 07/13/06 The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston has opened its positron emission tomography/computed tomography center. It is the first of its kind in Galveston and was made possible in part through a $9 million gift from the Sealy and Smith Foundation in Galveston. The new center is across from UTMB's Orthopaedic Clinic in Rebecca Sealy Hospital. Dr. Fernando Cesani is director of the facility.
