Herzog & Niesel: New test for ‘sand-in-your-eyes’ disease

As the third most common autoimmune disorder in the United States, Sjogren’s Syndrome affects about 4 million Americans, most of them women and over 40. Autoimmune disorders result from a person’s own immune system attacking the body. The worst part is that there’s no cure for SS. The column also appears in the Galveston County Daily News.
