American Association for Cancer Education
- The mission of the Association is to foster
cancer education by individuals throughout the world who
either due to professional obligations or personal interest
are involved in cancer education. Cancer education efforts
are related to prevention, early detection, treatment and
rehabilitation.
The American
Dietetics Association
- With nearly 65,000 members, the American
Dietetic Association is the nation's largest organization of
food and nutrition professionals dedicated to helping the
government conserve food and improve the public's health and
nutrition.
Texas Medical
Association - Texas Medical Association was
organized to serve the people of Texas in matters of medical
care, prevention and cure of disease, and the improvement of
public health. TMA supports Texas physicians by providing
distinctive solutions to the challenges they encounter in
the care of patients.
Cancer
Research Foundation of America - National,
non-profit health foundation whose mission is the prevention
and early detection of cancer through scientific research
and education. The Foundation focuses its energies and
resources on those cancers-including lung, breast, prostate,
colorectal, cervical, skin, oral and testicular-that can be
prevented through lifestyle changes or detection and
treatment in their early stages.

Institute of Cancer Research
- Nation's leading charity in the field of diet,
nutrition and cancer. AICR supports research into the role
of diet and nutrition in the prevention and treatment of
cancer.
The Commonwealth Fund - The Commonwealth Fund
Commission on a High Performance Health System has released
the first-ever comprehensive comparison of health system
performance in all 50 states. Aiming Higher: Results from a
State Scorecard on Health System Performance ranks states on
32 performance indicators of access, quality, avoidable
hospital use and costs, equity, and "healthy lives."
Alliance of State Pain Initiatives (ASPI)
is a network of Pain Initiative organizations based in
Texas, dedicated to improving the care of persons with pain,
through education, advocacy and institutional improvement.
