ERAS---the Electronic Residency Application Service
from the Association of American Medical Colleges
- ERAS application
deadline is December 1, 2010.
- Support documents
required include:
- Dean's Letter
- Letter of
recommendation from your Ob/Gyn Department Chairperson
- Two additional
letters of recommendation
- USMLE Step 1 and
Step 2 board scores
- Applicants must
provide an e-mail address
- FMG Applicants
- You must have a
valid ECFMG certificate.
- There is no minimum
score requirements, but you must have passed within the attempt/time
limit given by the Texas Medical Board.
- You should have
completed medical school no longer than three years ago.
- You should have one
year of prior U.S. clinical experience.
**Note to applicants – Texas has a licensure
requirement that you must have taken/passed all 3 USMLE exams within 7
years. For example is you take step 1 on July 1, 2002, you must have taken
and passed step 3 by June 30, 2009.
