OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY Program at Austin

The UTMB Obstetrics and Gynecology Program at Austin received its provisional accreditation in February of 2004, and began operation in July 2005.  In October 2007, our program received full accreditation. We are currently recruiting applicants who will participate in the NRMP in March of 2010.

We are located in Austin, the state capital of Texas. The program is based at Brackenridge Hospital, and includes rotations at the UTMB Austin Women’s Hospital, Seton Medical Center, Seton Northwest Medical Center, as well as sub-specialty and surgical experiences at the St. David’s Healthcare Partnership Hospital in the Austin metropolitan area.

The program is currently in the process of changing sponsorship to UT Southwestern (http://www8.utsouthwestern.edu).  The proposal change over date is the fall of 2009.
