Thank you for your interest in the UTMB Austin Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. Our program is a relatively new program, recently approved by the ACGME and our first interns started in 2005. As of July 2008, we will have our first full complement of 20 residents (four classes of five per year).
Our program, which is based primarily at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin Texas, has a long history of residency education, but having a complete program here in Austin is a new development in our history.
Although we are a UTMB sponsored program, we offer a unique mix of both university and community programs. In addition, we offer the opportunity to complete a Masters degree in Public Health or Public Policy during the four years of residency training. Also, the program is based in Austin Texas, one of the most livable cities in the United States.
