Unlike many OB/Gyn residencies, compliance with the ACGME 80 hour work rule has not been a big change for our program. The reason is simple, since this program is new, it was designed with these rules and constraints in mind. We intend to maintain compliance with ACGME rules regardless of the changes that occur in the future.
The day-to-day schedule of the residents will be made by the Administrative Chief resident, generally in two-block (ten week) intervals. The Chief will attempt to honor schedule requests, but may be forced to deny a request due to schedule limitations.
