Fellows in Medical Education
Dr. Minas Woldetsadik Gebru was a Medical Education Fellow in OED from August, 2003 through July, 2004. Sponsored by the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, an agency of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, he focused on curriculum design, curriculum change, and problem-based learning for pre-clinical and clinical students. He is Dean of the Medical Faculty of Jimma University in Jimma, Ethiopia, and previously served there as the Head of the Department of Surgery. He received his medical training and earned his certification in surgery at Addis Ababa University. He is currently leading the University of Jimma's transition to a problem-based integrated curriculum.
