Learner Assessment

The Office of Educational Development provides expertise in learner assessment design and implementation. Consultation on psychometric issues, advice on test design or selection, and comprehensive services for development and implementation of simulation-based examinations are available.

OED’s Standardized Patient Program staff collaborates with faculty to produce high-quality, high-fidelity assessments of multi-dimensional clinical skills for all levels of learners.

OED faculty and professional staff members sit on course and clerkship committees for direct input into assessment-related questions. They are also represented on the Integrated Curriculum Evaluation Exercise (ICEE) committee.

Workshops and consultation on learner assessment topics and issues are available by contacting Ann Frye.
