In the spirit of UTMB’s mission to promote outstanding teachers in the health care sciences, the Office of Educational Development’s Teaching Skills Series is dedicated to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching and learning. The Academy of Master Teachers co-sponsors this series. The Teaching Skills Series consist of one-hour workshops which focus on a specific topic related to teaching and learning.  The workshops are open to anyone in the university wishing to learn or enhance teaching skills.  The goal of the series is to build a community of faculty and staff who develop, improve and integrate creative and effective use of appropriate pedagogy and technologies to enhance student learning.
