STEM Quest Summer Camp I for 7th and 8th Grade Students

Camp Information

Fun-filled, hands-on activities and problem-solving puzzles stimulate increased knowledge and skills in science, engineering, technology and math!
 
Participants may perform activities such as:
  • Investigate good, bad and smelly bacteria!
  • Determine the effects of drugs and chemicals on microscopic organisms!
  • Design and fabricate engineering marvels!
  • Solve mysteries using forensics techniques!
  • And MUCH MORE!!

Eligibility

  • Participants must be currently enrolled in 7th or 8th grade and attending school in Galveston County or surrounding area.
  • There is no charge for program participation.
  • New activities are planned! Prior Camp I participants may apply!

June 9 - July 3, 2014  from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

How to Apply

Application deadline: 5:00:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2014
 
You must complete and submit the online application, as well as the supporting documentation, by 5:00:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2014.
 
The required documentation includes the Participation Agreement, Parental Consent Form, a copy of the applicant’s most recent report card, and the Teacher Recommendation Forms. Incomplete/late applications will NOT be considered.
 
Approximately 4 weeks after the application deadline, following committee review of the completed applications and required documentation, notification of status will be e-mailed to the applicant’s reported e-mail address. We will not supply any admission information early or by phone. STEM Quest Summer Camp I is a competitive program. Submission of documentation does not guarantee acceptance.
