John C. McKee is the Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and is an Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Community Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. McKee held various positions at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 1993 to 2007, with primary responsibility for outcomes assessment, alumni surveys, development of operational metrics and process improvement. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Dr. McKee held teaching appointments at the University of Houston and North Harris County College.

While Dr. McKee is interested in all facets of higher education administration, his primary professional focus has been on organizational performance assessment, planning, process improvement and implementation of assessment metrics. Current responsibilities include institutional effectiveness, institutional research and reporting, and accreditation support and compliance processes.

Dr. McKee holds a BA in Political Science, an MA in Public Administration and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Houston.
