A Message from the Interim Vice President |
|
April 12, 2012 It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you the news that longtime faculty member, Dr. E. Burke Evans, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, passed away this afternoon. Dr. Evans was holder of the E. Burke Evans Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery, and was known worldwide as an authority on cerebral palsy and on the orthopaedic management of patients with severe burns. He remained very active as a member of the faculty and as recently as last week was providing insightful advice and support.
We will notify you as soon as we have more information we can share about funeral services. Please join me in extending our deepest sympathy to Dr. Evan’s family, colleagues, and friends.
Sincerely, |
