High School Summer Program

High school students with an aptitude for science can apply now for the annual UTMB High School Summer Research Program. The program pays students minimum wage while they explore what it's like to be a professional scientist. The program includes actual experiments, weekly research seminars and field trips. Special consideration will be given to students from disadvantaged or minority groups.

Students can pick up applications at the UTMB Office of Multicultural Affairs (ext. 20135) or at high school guidance counselors' offices in Galveston County or Clear Creek ISD.

The program is supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the American Chemical Society.
