PART 1: SUGGESTIONS FOR DOING ENT ADULT CLINIC NOTES USING THE
NEW OMNES COMPUTERS AND MICROSOFT WORD

The computers use "Windows 2000" and "Office 2000"

STARTING THE CLINIC COMUTERS

STEP 1. Turn on each computer at the beginning of the business day; wait until it asks you to "log in".
(ALL computers should be "Shutdown" at the END of the business day to insure that no one is connected to Drive S: or ClinWeb or other network resource.)

STEP 2. Log in to the individual COMPUTER as "doctor" -- use the password for "doctor".

STEP 3. "Connect" to Drive S:\ClinOTO - you may have several choices or methods:

STEP 4. If Drive S: is NOT available,
Log in to Drive S:\ClinOTO:

STEP 5. Make a new FOLDER (directory) for TODAY (if this is not already done) ....

STARTING A NEW CLINIC NOTE

STEP 1. START the "WORD" program and get it ready to enter a NEW CLINIC NOTE --

  • Click "ENT-Adult-Outpatient-Clinic.dot"
  • GO TO TOP OF PAGE


    STEP 2. Fill in the top part of the form - use the TAB key to move from
    one cell of the "TABLE" to the next cell.

    STEP 3. SAVE the file under the patient's name-- be SURE that you are in TODAY'S folder (Ex: 2002-05-01).

    STEP 4. Leave the new note on the screen. It is now ready for the doctor to complete.
