Deborah L. Carlson, Ph.D., the Center Director, is an Audiologist and has worked for the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology since October 1989. Dr. Carlson obtained her Ph.D. degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in August 1986. She holds a dual Master's of Science Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences and in Rehabilitation Administration and Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL granted in May 1980. Dr. Carlson received Fellows Honors from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2007 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Audiology. She has participated on a variety of Boards and Committees for AAA and ASHA, served on the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and is a past President and Founding Member of the Texas Academy of Audiology.
Audiologists
Toni Jennings is an Audiologist who has worked for the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology since July of 2006. Dr. Jennings obtained her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Louisiana Tech University in May 2002. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Professional Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Louisiana Tech University granted in August 2000. She completed her Doctor of Audiology, Au.D., degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology Distance Learning Program in July 2007.

Leslie Rolph is an Audiologist and has worked for the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology as a resident from August 2007 untill August 2008 when she joined the staff. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Communications Disorders from Auburn University in 2004. She received her Doctor of Audiology from Auburn University in 2008.
Carol Ross is an Audiologist and has worked for the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology since August 1991. Dr. Ross obtained her Master of Science degree from Lamar University- Beaumont, Texas in May 1988. She also holds a Master's in Deaf Education granted in August 1988 and a Bachelor of Science in Deaf Education granted in May 1985. She completed her Doctor of Audiology, Au.D., degree from the University of Florida Distance Learning Program in December 2006.

Marte Hersey is a Speech-Language Pathologist and has worked for the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology since August 1994. Ms. Hersey obtained her Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from Northern Illinois University in May 1974. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology granted in December 1971. Ms. Hersey is actively involved in the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association and served as Chair of the Medical Speech Pathology Task Force from 2004 - 2008..
Lori Jarrett is a Speech-Language Pathologist who joined the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology as a resident in June 2008 and then joined the staff in 2009. She obtained her BA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas in May 2006, and then her MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas in May 2008.

Sarah Keifer is a Speech-Language Pathologist who joined the Center for Audiology & Speech Pathology as a resident in June 2008 and then joined the staff in 2009. She obtained her BS in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas in May 2006 and her MS in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2008.
