Media Relations advances recognition of the institution by telling the UTMB story.

A team of dedicated communications specialists keeps constant tabs on the pulse of the institution, its innovative discoveries, its educational triumphs and the extraordinary patient care performed by UTMB’s accomplished faculty and staff.

They share UTMB stories with the university’s external audience through news releases, media advisories, pitch letters and personal contacts. They also produce articles for university publications, including Impact (the UTMB employee newsletter) and UTMB Magazine (the university’s research magazine).

In addition, the Media Relations staff arrange press interviews with UTMB’s faculty, health care providers and researchers, and serve as spokespersons for the university.
