Public Affairs

The public voice of UTMB, this division promotes understanding of the university's education, patient care, research, and community service missions by getting out the good word about UTMB's contributions to society. Audiences are external and internal, and include patients, employees, alumni, students, friends, and the public at large.

In support of promotion and communication, Public Affairs has responsibilities in brand management, marketing, tours, events, crisis and issues management, media relations, broadcast and web technology and content, publications design, production and management, promotional activities, and other tasks with institutional implications.

The Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs is Chris Comer.
