Friendswood Eye Center a success
Posted: March 2009
The UTMB University Eye Center at Friendswood has seen steady patient growth since opening in the summer of 2008.
In addition to providing a full range of specialty eye care services, physicians now are able to perform eye surgery, including refractive surgery and premium intraocular lens implants, at three Bay Area health care facilities.
The state-of-the art diagnostic eye center, conveniently located in the heart of Friendswood's commercial center, is attracting patients not only new to the eye center but new to UTMB.
Friendswood was selected as the location for UTMB's first mainland eye center based on market research that demonstrated the need for quality specialized eye care in this growing community.
Awareness is building through face-to-face meetings with referring physicians, direct mail and patient word of mouth.
