Incoming residents come from around the globe

The innovative, comprehensive residency training program at the UTMB Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has drawn top candidates from around the globe.
Under the leadership of Dr. Brian R. Wong, residency program director, and Dr. John Davis, associate program director, the program has been revitalized and strengthened.
Wong said, "We've created a well-rounded program that gives our graduates outstanding capabilities in research, clinic, surgery and leadership that makes them successful."
"We now attract the highest-quality applicants in terms of honors, accolades, board scores and schools," he added.
