Eye Center has latest treatment for glaucoma

The UTMB Health Eye Center has a new, state-of-the art surgical technology called Trabectome to treat patients with open-angle glaucoma. It is the only eye center in Southeast Texas to offer this FDA-cleared, minimally invasive surgical device.
Glaucoma specialist Dr. Vizzeri explained, "The Trabectome procedure is designed to have fewer potential complications and a quicker recovery for glaucoma patients who may need surgery."
