Ministers and Volunteer Chaplains

Where
to park during Hospital visits
(for patient information- 772-1506)
- Weekdays
from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.(except UTMB holidays):
- 1) Public garage #1
at Market St./6th Street
- 2) Public garage #2
at 10th St./Harborside Drive
- 3) Public garage
midblock on Post Office St. between 6th St. and 8th
St.
- How to obtain
exit token:
- Monday - Friday Bring
parking ticket and pastoral ID to John Sealy Hospital front information
desk, sign log, trade parking ticket for exit token.

other times:
- Use employee surface
parking lot RHT across from Schuttes Restaurant at 8th/Postoffice
- How to obtain
exit token:
- No token is needed
for this parking lot. This is normally an employee only parking lot and the
parking office is making it available to anyone for parking free from the
hours of 5 p.m. – 7 a.m. everyday--or anytime on weekends or UTMB
holidays.

- Where
to park during Emergency room visits (Emergency
room phone #772-1521)

- Daily - 24
hours a day:
- Use trauma garage,
which is located off of Harborside Dr.—directly by the doors of the
emergency room.
- How to obtain
exit token:
- Bring parking ticket, UTMB pastoral ID, and name
of emergency room patient to the Emergency registration information clerk,
trade parking ticket for exit token.

As of February 1,2002
- There is a change
in parking procedures for Visiting Ministers and Volunteer Chaplains from
Monday – Friday between 6 p.m. – 7 a.m. during the hours the front
information desk is not attended. During this time please do not park in the
parking garage, but instead use the employee surface parking lot RHT across
from the Schuttes Restaurant at 8th/Postoffice. No token is
needed for this parking lot. This is normally an employee only parking lot
and the parking office is making it available to anyone for parking free
from the hours of 6 p.m. – 7 a.m. everyday--or anytime on weekends or UTMB
holidays.

Parking
garage afterhours alternative
- For your information: For those who do not mind paying the UTMB parking
office a small monthly fee of $10., there is a gate card available. This is
available to UTMB badged visiting ministers and volunteer chaplains who
would like to use the parking garage Monday-Friday 5 p.m. to 9:15 a.m.,
during the weekend 24 hours a day, or during a UTMB holiday 24 hours a day.

Handicap
parking
- If
you are a driver with a handicap tag (not an employee)—you can park free
at all UTMB meters and parking garages with an attendant. Attendants are in
all garages (except Rebecca Sealy garage) from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
