Catholic Eucharistic Minister

Fr. Gerry states that a Catholic Eucharistic minister is one who is acquainted with suffering. The minister enters the world of the sick and dying and and then ministers to the hospital patient as a representative of Christ and the Catholic Community. By the minister's presence and concern, the minister seeks to relieve the pain and loneliness of each sufferer. In this wise the minister fulfills the words of Christ—“I was sick and you visited me.”
