Quilt for the Cure

On Thursday, January 31, 2002, a quilted wall hanging was presented to the Hematology-Oncology Clinic by the Lay Chaplain Volunteers. (pictured: L to R Chaplain Karen Alcott, Jean McDaniel, Oncology Clinic practice coordinator. Click image for enlargement)

Each quilt square represents a natural plant used to make up the chemotherapy treatment given to cancer patients.

Our thanks to Becky Tarrant, of Social Work, and Chaplain Kathy Ozenberger, of Pastoral Care, for their talents and efforts in making this quilt. (Click image for enlargement)

Our hope is that the patients may find comfort and peace in the knowledge that there is a very real connection between God’s creation and the medication they are receiving.
