TDCJ Lay Volunteers

Volunteer T. A. is one of many devoted and highly trained lay volunteers who assist Chaplain Javier and Linda in serving the offender population at the hospital. Without the devotion of this volunteer and many others like him, the chaplain's office would not be able to assist with the needs of all of the incarcerated patients.

The chaplain's office is always looking for those individuals who are willing to receive the needed training to touch the hearts of the TDCJ hospital patients and help them spiritually in their time of need in the hospital. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering, please contact the TDCJ office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at (409) 772-6191 or leave a message at (409) 772-6108.
