Direction

The Department of Pathology at UTMB is committed to the providing the highest quality education and, as such, aims to develop,  and through the Innovative Teaching Technologies Initiative (ITTI), deliver the necessary innovative technologies and effective learning methods.




Methods

The ITTI is currently developing several Departmental Digital Pathology resources which may be used by all Pathology Faculty and learners for their educational objectives. Additionally, the ITTI will accept and review proposals for the collaborative development of independent Digital Pathology Education projects for interested Pathology Faculty. Faculty Development seminars will be offered which are aimed to explore emerging technology tools and their applications. Morevover, we will do one-on-one training for specific educational technology applications related to proposed educational projects.




Opportunities

If you are interested in developing a Digital Pathology educational project for learners at UTMB, complete and submit by email the interactive PDF proposal application. Please provide as much detail as possible with regard to the proposed project, the associated goals and benefits for learners. Submissions will be reviewed and considered for development primarily based upon demonstrated need/demand and expected benefit. Your submission will be followed up with an automatic consultation by Dr. Rampy to discuss your ideas in further detail.
