We are a nationally recognized Division in Surgical Pathology with the fundamental responsibility to promote excellence in the practice of Surgical Pathology by providing quality clinical diagnostic care for the Surgical Divisions of UTMB, the University Health Clinics, as well as numerous UTMB clinics across South and East Texas. Further, as part of a large teaching hospital, it is also our duty to provide the necessary educational experiences whereby to offer superior training for UTMB Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows.
