Description
The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Division of Surgical Pathology offers a one-year fellowship program with advanced training in diagnostic Surgical Pathology. The trainee will have in-depth exposure to general oncologic, head and neck, gynecologic, gastrointestinal/liver, pediatric, genitourinary, soft tissue and pulmonary pathology. An active clinical service with over 18,000 surgical specimens provide a great diversity of cases. Elective rotations in renal pathology, neuropathology, dermatopathology and hematopathology are available. There are substantial opportunities for clinical and basic research. All fellows participate in clinical conferences as well as teaching of residents and medical students.
Requirements
For consideration as a Surgical Pathology Fellow, candidates must have completed three years of AP or four years of AP/CP training. Applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States (US citizen or with current J1 visa).
Stipend
Commensurate with academic year of post-graduate level training.
