Research Interests

Dr. Boroumand’s primary area of interest is general surgical pathology with a special interest in pulmonary and mediastinal pathology. She completed a one year fellowship in Thoracic Pathology at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, during which she was exposed to a wide variety of neoplastic and nonneoplastic lung diseases. Her goal is to strengthen her diagnostic abilities through clinical service with careful study of the cases and to be involved in clinical as well as basic research in lung pathology.
