Scheduled Intra-Department Conferences
Gross Autopsy Conference: Residents present their autopsies to other faculty, residents, clinicians and students for the purpose of discussion, teaching, and consultation. (Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Autopsy Suite 518G.)
Gross Microscopic Correlation Conference: Residents present gross pathology as related to the microscopic findings. (Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in Room 5.204 McCullough.)
Neuropathology Conference: All brains removed at autopsy are examined by neuropathologists. Neuropathology Conference is held every Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. in the Autopsy Suite
Inter-Departmental Conferences Presented
Surgical Mortality and Morbidity: This conference to review all general surgery, cardio- thoracic surgery and burn deaths. (Wednesdays at 9:00 am in Surgical Conference Room, 6th floor McCullough.)
Infectious Disease Pathology Conference: This conference, held once a month (5.204 JSA), is organized by the Microbiology division, and includes presentation of interesting infectious disease cases with histopathology and clinical microbiology content.
