  • Detection of fetal congenital heart disease in collaboration with Maternal Health & Fetal Medicine
  • Electroencephalogram (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation for the Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson , Texas
  • Interventional cardiology
  • Training of students and residents on the essentials of pediatric cardiology with an emphasis on essential clinical cases

  • Service the Clear Lake Subspecialty Clinic

Gastroenterology

  • Conduct research/treatment on metabolic bone disease and vitamin D deficiency
  • Collaboration with Shriners Burns Hospital
  • Patient consultation at both the Galveston and Clear Lake clinics

General Academic Pediatrics/Community-Based Pediatrics

  • Training of medical students and residents
  • House the Advocacy Center and ABC Center, which coordinate care of child victims of maltreatment
  • Provide leadership and training for area medical and law enforcement personnel
  • Staffing of five clinics: Primary Care Pavilion in Galveston, the Regional Maternal and Child Health Clinic in Texas City, and satellite clinics in Alvin, Friendswood and League City
