- Training at all levels, from high school students to visiting scientists
- Grants production and materials procurement for pediatric investigators within the department
- Develop vaccines and improve implementation of vaccination programs in underserved populations
- Provide learning opportunities for student of both the UTMB graduate and medical schools
Endocrinology Division

- Provide comprehensive clinical care for children and adolescents with Type I & II diabetes, obesity, among a wide-array of other endocrine disorders
- Service the Clear Lake Subspecialty Clinic
- Provide outpatient care and 24/7 inpatient consultation
Gastroenterology

- Conduct research/treatment on metabolic bone disease and vitamin D deficiency
- Collaboration with Shriners Burns Hospital
