Dr. Sarpong received his medical degree at the School of Medical Sciences, University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons in New York City.

Following his residency, Dr. Sarpong joined the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and was an attending physician at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Sarpong is board certified in pediatrics.

In addition to his experience as a general pediatrician, Dr. Sarpong practices in the area of child maltreatment and abuse. He will be joining members of our group who provide services and work closely with community agencies to advocate for these children and their families. Dr. Sarpong joins our very talented and skilled team of primary care pediatricians here at UTMB.
