Dr. Lillian Lockhart is a Professor in the department of Pediatrics and the director of the Division of Genetics at UTMB. She received her M. D. from The University of Texas Medical Branch, in May, 1957. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 1958-1960. She did a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1962-64, six months of this was spent in the Tissue Culture laboratory of Dr. T.C. Hsu, M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston Texas.
