Dr. Gundlach is an Assistant Professor in the division of General Academic Pediatrics. She completed her bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology and her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She completed her pediatrics residency and chief residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her fellowship in Academic General Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas. During fellowship, she also completed a Masters of Education in Teaching from the University of Houston. Dr. Gundlach is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her clinical role includes supervising pediatric residents and medical students at several UTMB Pediatrics Clinics, and additionally seeing patients herself at the Academic Pediatrics at Bay Colony Clinic. Her interests include general pediatric conditions, including asthma, allergies, rashes, and breastfeeding, as well as educating pediatric students and residents. Dr. Gundlach works closely with our very talented and skilled team of primary pediatricians here at UTMB.
