Primary Care Services

Your child’s health care needs start here. At the University of Texas Medical Branch, our highly trained and experienced primary care physicians (PCPs) are here for you. Your child’s PCP provides the first point of contact for healthcare and medical information. A PCP is knowledgeable about a patient’s health history which positions them to determine if further medical attention is necessary.

Same day sick child visit

Galveston Island Clinics

“Sick Child” Walk-in Services are available for Island Pediatric East and West on Monday - Thursday from 8 am to 9 a.m. and Friday 9 am to 11 am. Walk in for a sick visit and your child will be seen by one of our providers in a timely fashion. No need to call for an appointment.

Primary Care in League City at Bay Colony

“Sick Child” Walk-in Services are available for the Academic Pediatrics, League City (Bay Colony) on Monday - Thursday from 7:45 am to 8:45 a.m. and Friday 9 am to 11 am. Due to heavy volume, we have a 15 child cap Monday through Thursdays mornings and a 25 child cap on Friday morning. Walk in for a sick visit and your child will be seen by one of our providers in a timely fashion. No need to call for an appointment.

After Hours Urgent Care

“Because Kids Don’t Get Sick On a Schedule.” Pediatric After Hours Urgent Care provides a caring environment for children and their families. There’s always a pediatrician on-site to address any child’s urgent health care needs. Pediatric after hours urgent care clinics currently located in Galveston and League City.
