The Combined Medicine and Pediatrics Residency

UTMB's interdepartmental Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program offers in-depth training in the care of patients of all age groups. Residents completing the 4 year program are eligible for board certification in both disciplines and are prepared to treat both minor and critical illnesses in individuals ranging from newborn infants to geriatric patients. Upon graduation, Med/Peds residents can choose a career in primary care, emergency medicine, or enter subspecialty training in internal medicine, pediatrics or both.
