		Getting Started: Day One On Day One of the rotation, complete the following tasks: □  meet with faculty for orientation, receive your schedule & portfolio □  read the Curriculum Home Page □  read the Health & Development Expected Competencies based on the ACGME-required competencies □  complete the Developmental Screening Module ___ Denver II training CD's ___ read the AAP policy statement : Identifying Infants and Young Children with Developmental Disorders in a Medical Home: An Algorithm for Development Surveillance and Screening  ___submit module by e-mail □  familiarize yourself with the AAP website  and healthychildren.org from the AAP (especially hot topics of the day, health resources for parents, health resources for professionals) □  familiarize yourself with the Questions on the Nutrition Module, so you will be aware to watch for this during the month.   Identify one patient in your continuity practice who is overweight or obese. Identify them here by name and UH and brief description.  Outline here a plan you could adopt to help this patient. □  complete the Curriculum Review Confirmation in New Innovations □  communicate by email with Dr. Niebuhr  indicating completion of the above tasks
