Joseph Shearer, BA
Program: Ph.D.
Joe attended Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota where he received his B.A. in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. After living in the frozen tundra of Minnesota for his first 23 years he decided it was time for a change of venue, which made UTMB a perfect fit. His interests include addiction research, translational research, and drug metabolism. Currently, Joe is completing his lab rotations. When not working in the lab or studying, Joe is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoys watching movies, and hanging out with his friends and family.
